healing sometimes begins with feeling, and only later does the understanding arrive

I had the privilege of receiving healing when I needed it most. Now, it is my honour to hold that space for others.

THE HEART BEHIND MOYULA HEALING

Meet Ané

Alternative healing found me during one of the most fragile seasons of my life. At first, the sceptic in me wanted to understand it, explain it, and make sense of it. My heart just wanted to feel human again.

I found myself asking: How can putting needles in my ear help with childhood trauma? Why does this scent make me feel as though I am back in the womb? Who even has time to meditate? Was herbal medicine not basically just tea with better marketing?

But the more I experienced it, the more I realised that healing sometimes begins with feeling, and only later does the understanding arrive.

I have always been deeply interested in psychology and the inner world of people. While completing my Master’s degree in Inclusive Education, I began studying alternative healing alongside it. It felt like another layer of psychology, a way of understanding people not only through the mind, but through the body and soul too.

I was especially drawn to the sensory and creative side of the work: preparing oils, choosing scents, working with herbs, and creating something nurturing with care. A part of me has always loved mixing “lotions and potions,” but through this work, that childlike wonder began to meet ancient knowledge.
